OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Providing of Laptops/ Notebook or similar devices to the officers of the rank of US/SO or equivalent -Constitution of Committee.
The Undersigned is directed to inform that the Competent Authority has decided to form a Committee with the following members to scrutinize the requests for issuing of Laptops/Notebook or similar devices to the officers of the rank of Under Secretary/ Section Officer or equivalent on the grounds of functional necessity subject to the condition that this shall be restricted to 25% of the sanctioned strength of these posts, as per the Department of Expenditure’s OM No.3(6) /2020-EII(A) dated 27 March, 2020 (Copy enclosed):-
(i) Sh. Lalit Wadhwa, Deputy Secretary (Pers) – Member
(ii) Smt. Aashwita Lal, Deputy Secretary (Hqrs), CBDT – Member
(iii) Sh. J.S.Kandhari, Deputy Secretary (TRU), CBIC – Member
2. It is requested that the Committee may kindly scrutinize the requests received from various officers of DoR from time to time following the guidelines issued by DoE’s OM cited above, so that Laptop/Notebook or similar devices are provided to the entitled officers strictly as per functional necessity. GAR will provide the details of requests to the Committee from time to time as and when received.
3. This issues with the approval of JS (Revenue).
