Sub: Medical treatment to infants of the Railway medical beneficiaries in the absence of the UMID Card.
In recently held DC/JCM staff side raised the issue of provision of medical facility to infants of the Railway medical beneficiaries in the absence of UMID Card.
In order to avoid the hardships being faced by Railway medical beneficiaries in getting medical treatment to their newborns in the absence of UMID Card, it is advised that provisions are available in HMIS for urgent generation of UMID cards for newborn babies of railway beneficiaries. However, all concerned may be instructed to adopt humanitarian attitude to ensure that there is no delay in provision of required medical facilities to the newborns of the Railway medical beneficiaries in emergency, for want of UMID card.
This issues with the approval of DGRHS.
