BSNL Employees Union (BSNLEU), being the Main Recognised Trade Union in BSNL, brings the following to your kind notice, for favour of necessary action.
The DPE is announcing the increase in the quantum of IDA every quarter. Normally, the DPE announces the percentage of increase in the IDA without any delay. However, the quantum of IDA that has increased w.e.f. 01st October, 2025, has not been announced so far.
It is only after the announcement of the quantum of IDA increase, the Central Public Sector Undertakings, including BSNL, make payment of the IDA, at the increased rates, to their employees. Since, the IDA increase w.e.f. 01st October, 2025, has not been announced by the DPE so far, the employees of BSNL are deprived of payment of IDA at the enhanced rate w.e.f. 01st October, 2025.
In view of the foregoing, we earnestly urge upon you to kindly take expeditious action for the early announcement of the enhanced rate of IDA w.e.f. 01st October, 2025.
