Subject: UPS implementation- Necessary action to be undertaken by Nodal Offices regarding Pending UPS requests – reg.
The last date for existing NPS subscribers and eligible past retirees to exercise the option to migrate to UPS was 30.11.2025. PFRDA, NPS Trust, and the Central Recordkeeping Agency (CRA) have been regularly engaging with the concerned nodal offices of Civil Ministries/Departments to dispose of the pending UPS requests. However, more than eight months after the closure of the option window, a high pendency of UPS requests remains to be processed. The status of pendency as on 31.07.2026, as intimated by PFRDA, is as follows:

2. In this regard, all Pr. CCAs/CCAs/CAs are requested to direct their PAOs and DDOs under them to dispose of all pending UPS registration, migration, and Form B2 claim requests.
