OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Extension of CGHS facilities to Central Civil Service pensioners under DANICS and similarly placed AGMUT cadre employees at par with AIS pensioners, in accordance with the provisions of MoHFW OM No. S.11011/1/87-CGHS D.I/CGHS(P) dated 01.02.1988 – reg.

The undersigned is directed to refer to this Ministry’s Office Memorandum No. S.11011/1/87-CGHS D.I/CGHS(P) dated 01.02.1988 and to state that the issue regarding extension of the provisions contained therein to Central Civil Service pensioners under DANICS and similarly placed AGMUT cadre employees, at par with All India Services (AIS) pensioners, has been under examination in this Ministry.

2. After careful consideration, the competent authority has accorded approval that Central Civil Service pensioners under DANICS and similarly placed AGMUT cadre employees shall also be eligible to exercise the option to avail medical facilities either from the State Government from which they have retired or under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), at par with AIS pensioners, subject to the Same terms and conditions.

3. This issues with the approval of the competent authority.
