Sub: Operation of Miscellaneous E-Receipt System (MERS) Portal.
Miscellaneous E-receipt System Portal (MERS) has been developed by CRIS in coordination with SBI and used by user departments of Indian Railways to receive Miscellaneous Earnings through digital mode from their customers.
Western Railway was nominated as Nodal Railway for the system and also for its pilot implementation. Since Central Railway is already the nodal agency for TAMS and for IPAS-2, it would be appropriate that for MERS too, Central Railway is made the nodal agency. Therefore, it has now been decided that Central Railway is the Nodal Railway for implementation of the MERS Portal in coordination with CRIS.
