Headquarters office vide circular no. 25/Staff Appt.IV/38-2026 read with letter no. 225/ Staff Appt.IV/38-2026 dated 27.05.2026 conveyed approval of the Competent Authority for change of nomenclature of Senior Translator and Junior Translator in Indian Audit and Accounts Department as below:-

| 01. | Senior Translator | Senior Translation Officer (STO) |
| 02. | Junior Translator | Junior Translation Officer (JTO) |
The change of nomenclature comes into force with immediate effect. However, change of nomenclature/designation would not lead to any upgradation of Pay scale/Pay Level.
The new nomenclature shall be used henceforth for all official purposes.
