(i) Application of Model Code of Conduct reg.
(ii) Grant of paid holidays to employees concern on day of poll reg.
Please find enclosed herewith Cabinet Secretariat’s O.M. No. 1/41/1/2022-Cab dated 7th November, 2022 enclosing therein Election Commission’s letter Nos. 437/6/1/ECI/INST/FUNCT/MCC/2022/2971 dated 03.11.2022 and 437/6/1/ECI/INST/FUNCT/MCC/2022/2966 dated 03.11.2022 regarding applicability of Model Code of Conduct in connection with the above mentioned election.
2. Besides the above, the provisions of the Model code of conduct as mentioned in the website of the Election Commission of India also be strictly complied with till the duration of the Election Schedule.
3. A copy of Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training’s O.M. No. 12/1/2022-JCA dated 18.11.2022 regarding closure of Central Government Offices in the notified areas, where general election to the State Legislative Assembly Constituencies are to be conducted on the date of poll and grant of paid holiday to the employees concern on the date of poll to enable them to exercise their right to vote, is also enclosed for information and bringing to notice of all concerned.
