Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare has now clarified that the Family Pension is payable to children of the deceased government servant in order of their birth.

  • The eligibility of each child from second wedlock, sharing pension along with legally wedded wife, will be considered in the order of their date of birth.
  • The younger child will not be eligible for family pension unless the elder next above him becomes ineligible for grant of family pension.
