Please find enclosed herewith a copy of letter no. D-29012/5/2020-admn.II dated 23.11.2020 received from Ministry of Labour & Employment wherein it has been requested to furnish confirmation that no physical diaries and calendars are printed/purchased for the year 2021.
It is requested to furnish the confirmation via e-mail at [email protected]. by 15.02.2021 for onward submission to the Ministry.

2. Ministry has requested that a line of confirmation on the issue that no physical diaries and calendars are printed/purchased for the year 2021 by all the Organizations under the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
3. since the matter is related to all India offices of EPFO ,a copy of this letter of the ministry, is attached for kind information and necessary action at your end.
The report in respect of Headquarters office may be treated as ‘NIL’.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Printing and distribution of Government of India Diaries and Calendars for the year 2021 — Instruction thereof.
The undersigned ig directed to refer to O.M. of even number dated 13.11.2020 (copy enclosed) on the issue of printing and distribution of Goverament of India Diaries and Calendars for the year 2021. In that O.M. all organization under Ministry of Labour and Employment were requested to ensure that no physical diaries and calendars are printed/ purchased for the year 2021 and a line of confirmation on the above was requested. However, response is still awaited. Cabinet Secretarial is pressing hard for such confirmation.
2. AN organization under Ministry of Labour and Employment are requested that a line of confirmaion on the above may kindly be sent immediately to the Ministry so that the same could be forwarded to BOC and Cabinet Secretariat.

Subject: Printing and distribution of Government of India Diaries and Calendars for the year 2021 – instruction thereof

The undersigned is directed to say that the Secretary(Coord) Cabinet Secretariat took a meeting on 10.11..2020 on the sue of printing and distribution of Government of India Diaries and Calendars for the year 2021. The following directions were given during the meeting.
(i) No diary and calendar would be orinted by the Minstries/ Departments
Organizations under the respective Ministries/ Departments.
(ii) No Ministry/ Department/Orgarizaton would also purchase/procure physical diary and calendar for the year 2021
(iii) Directorate of Advertising & Visual Publicity and Bureau of Outreach and Communication (DAVP & BOC) under Ministry of Information & Broadcasting will also not print diaries and calendars for the year 2021 as per the instruction of Department of Expenditure dated 02.09.2020. They are expected to release the app based digital diaries and calendars in the last week of December, 2020 which will have an option of customization as per requirement of the organizations.
(iv) Ministries/Departments Organizations may develop their own app based digital diaries/calendars after customizing he digital diaries to be released By DAVP & BOC
(v) In case any organization is found punting or purchasing physical form of diaries of calendars a serous view would be taker against them.
2 All organizations are, therefore, requested to ensure that no physical diaries and calendars are printed/purchased for the year 2021. A line of confirmation on the above may be sent immidiately t0 the Ministry immediately for intimating the same to Cabinet Secretariat/ DAVP & BOC.
