Subject: 3rd Cadre Review of Central Secretariat Stenographers’ Service — reg.
The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department’s OM No. 15/1/2014 — C.S. II (A) dated 05.10.2018 wherein it was decided that some balance vacant posts in the grade of PS (after promoting the eligible PAs of subsequent SLs) arising during next three to four years to be downgraded to Stenographer Gr. ‘D’.
2. In accordance with above, 600 vacant posts of PSs are hereby downgraded to the grade of Stenographer Grade ‘D’ with immediate effect. These downgraded posts shall hereby be operated at the level of Stenographer Grade ‘D’ in three phases i.e for 200 posts in SLY 2021, 200 posts for SLY 2022 and 200 posts for SLY 2023.
3. This issues with the approval of Competent Authority.
