Sub: Extension of abeyance of applicability of revised Comprehensive Guidelines for conducting competitive written public examinations dated 01.08.2025 for Persons with Disabilities under the RPwD Act, 2016-reg.
Ref:- (i) Board’s’s letter of even no. dated 10.09.2025 and 06.11.2025.
(ii) DEPwD’s OM No. P-13013/75/2023-Policy-DD-III dated 30.12.2025.
Please refer to Board’s letter of even number dated 10.09.2025 and 06.11.2025 wherein clarification issued by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) regarding applicability of revised Comprehensive Guidelines dated 01.08.2025 for conducting competitive written public examinations for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) under the RPwD Act, 2016 was circulated to all Zonal Railways and Production Units for strict compliance.
2. Now, the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, vide O.M. dated 30.12.2025, has decided to extend the abeyance of applicability of the revised Guidelines dated 01.08.2025 beyond 31.12.2025 and up to 31.03.2026.
3. Accordingly, it is clarified that all competitive public examinations notified/to be notified up to and including 31.03.2026 shall continue to be conducted in accordance with Guidelines dated 29.08.2018, the subsequent corrigendum thereto, and guidelines dated 10.08.2022.
4. The same may please be brought to the notice of all concerned for information/necessary action and strict compliance.
5. This issues with the approval of the Competent Authority.
