Sub: Inhuman stoppage of medical treatment during intervening period in cases of voluntary retirement till issue of Medical Card under RELHS-reg.
Ref: Railway Board’s letter no. 2003/H/JCM-DC dated 13.10.2003.
Railway Board vide letter cited under reference above advised to adopt humanitarian attitude to provide medical treatment to the family members of Railway employees expired while in service till issue of Medical Card under RELHS.
It is advised to adopt humanitarian attitude to provide medical treatment to the employees and their family members also opting for voluntary retirement till issue of Medical Card under RELHS after obtaining competent authority’s sanction, if necessary.
