Coverage under CCS (Pension) Rule 1972 in place of National Pension System of those Central Govt Employees whose selection for appointment was finelised before 01-01-2004 but who joined Govt service on or after 01-01 2004.
Department of Pension & PW, Govt of India, has issued an Office Mamdrandum No 57/04/2019-p & PW (B) dated 17/02/7020 on the subject mattar.
2. As per para 4 of the ubows OM Published by DOP & PW, IOFS officers / employees who were declared successful for recruitmant in the results declared on or bafore 31/12/2003 against the vacencies occurring before 01-01-2004 and are covered under the National Pension System (NPS) on joining service on or after 01-01-2004, may be given a one-time option to be covered under CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972.
3 Further in accordance with Para No 8 of the sad OM, appointing authority shall issue necessory orders on the besis of option exercised by the eligible condidate latest by 30th September 2020. The NPS account of such Govt employees shall consequently be closed w.e.f 01-11-2020.
4 In view of the above, it is requested that the cases of GOs may be sent to this office with all supporting documents along with the Application for admission to the GPF account and Nomination Form (in triphcate), duly completed in all respects and countersigned by the competent authority through the respective CsFA/LAOs for necessary action at this end. Cases of NGOs may be dealt with at the CsFA/LAOs level.
5. Further, the competent authority has desired to obtain consolidated report on successful completion of the above procedures.
6. CsFA/O.C AOs are, therefore, requested to furnish the report on weekly basis in the prescribed format attached to this ciurcular in Annexure-I for Gos and in Annexure-II for NGOs/NIEs/IEs please.
7. In addition to above, CsFA are requested to monitor the progress closely till the completion of all procedures.
This is issued in accordance with the approval of the C of A (Fys).
