As Railways are aware that under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsava’, Har Ghar Tiranga(HGT) Campaign has been launched to encourage the citizens to hoist the National Flag of India at their homes to celebrate India’s Independence Day and build a personal and emotional connection with the Tiranga. This year also HGT Campaign will be organized across Indian Railways from 9th August to 17th August 2026, in integration of 3rd phase of commemoration of 150 years of the National Song “Vande Mataram’’ as advised vide Board’s letter cited under Ref. (i) above.
2. Necessary action may be taken in accordance with the instructions contained in Para 4 of Board’s letter cited under Ref.(11) above.

As Railways are aware, Government of India launched ‘Har Ghar Tirnaga (HGT)’ campaign under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ in 2022 to encourage citizens to hoist the National Flag at their homes and build a personal and emotional connection with the Tiranga.
2. AS stipulated in the enclosed D.O. letter, this year also, the Government of India has decided to celebrate Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, 2026 across the country from 9th August to 17th August 2026, in integration of 3rd phase of commemoration of 150 years of the National Song “Vande Mataram”. The activities proposed to be undertaken by Railways towards HGT Campaign, 2026 are mentioned in Annexure – I of the enclosed D.O. letter. These include flag hoisting ceremonies, illumination of prominent, railway stations and other important railway establisnments in Tiranga Colours, instrumental rendition of the National Song “Vande Mataram” through Public Address System at major Railway Stations, organizing suitable patriotic pragrammes, encouragement of officers, employees and the general public to upload “Selfie with Tiranga” on HGT Portal etc.
3. All concerned may please take appropriate action accordingly so as to make Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, 2026 successful.
