Survey of India Employees await timely declaration of Dearness Allowance (DA), Dearness Relief (DR) and Bonus – MSA writes to Surveyor General of India
In a recent communication, the Secretary General of the Ministerial Staff Association (MSA) Survey of India, a matter of great concern was brought to the kind attention of the Surveyor General of India towards the timely declaration of Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR), which typically takes effect from 01-07-2023.
Traditionally, the announcement of the due installment of DA and DR, along with three months of arrears, was expected in the last week of September and arrears are usually disbursed in the first week of October.
Further the Secretary General states that the Durga Puja is just approaching. This is the time of the announcement of the Bonus/Ad-hoc Bonus also.
Survey of India Employees are eagerly awaiting these crucial announcements.

महोदय,
Your kind attention is invited on a matter of great concern to the employees and pensioners of Survey of India, which requires immediate intervention.
As per the usual practice, the declaration of the due installment of Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) w.e.f. from 01-07-2023 was expected to be made in the last week of September, with three months of arrears being paid in the first week of October. However, this year, we have noticed a significant delay in the announcement of these crucial allowances, causing severe discontent and anxiety among the employees and pensioners.
In addition to the DA/DR issue, we are approaching the festive season with Durga Puja just around the corner. Employees eagerly anticipate the announcement of the annual Bonus, which is traditionally declared during this time of the year.
Given the increasing concerns and growing dissatisfaction among the employees and pensioners, we earnestly request your immediate intervention in this matter. We kindly request you to raise these concerns with the Ministry of Finance, urging for the early declaration and issuance of DA/DR orders as well as the timely release of the Bonus orders. Such actions would not only alleviate the anxiety among the beneficiaries but also contribute to their financial well-being during these trying times.
Your support and timely action in addressing these issues will go a long way in ensuring the well-being and morale of the employees and pensioners associated with the Survey of India.
